KINGSTON, Jamaica – Eddietwentynine earned his first entry into the winners’ enclosure in the Caymanas Sunday (June 26, 2022) fourth, which was division one of a maiden condition call at five furlongs straight.
Jockey Reyan Lewis riding for trainer Gary Griffiths, kept Eddietwentynine close to the early pace set by Risky Bid (Natalie Berger) with Northern Lady (Aaron Chatrie) in close quarters.
On the main track, Lewis got the even money favourite, to increase the tempo and the bay gelding responded by pulling away from rivals, winning by 2 ¼ lengths. Northern Lady finished second with Melmich (Samantha Fletcher) third.
