KINGSTON, Jamaica - Trainer Anthony Nunes achieved another debut win for his 2025 stock of three-year-olds for the second consecutive week.

This time, the victory belonged to chestnut colt Easy Money, while last week Another One captivated racing fans with an impressive performance in the five-furlong straight Mercury Sprint Trophy.

Easy Money, a colt by Sunshine N Shadow out of Midnight In Paris, raced five furlongs round, partnered with Shane Ellis, the same jockey who rode Another One.

Starting from the number one barrier, Easy Money quickly took the lead and maintained the advantage to the winning post, crossing the finish line 1 ¼ lengths ahead of stablemate Brahma Bull (Tevin Foster) to close a one-two finish for trainer Nunes. The winning time was 1:02.1.

Despite the slow clocking, Nunes expressed positive thoughts about Easy Money's performance.

“As you will understand, it is still early days yet, but it is always a feeling of accomplishment when a winning effort is produced by one of your three-year-olds on debut.

“It was a respectable first outing by Easy Money, who truth be told, still has a long way to go. Progress will be made with this colt, and as always, time is the master,” Nunes shared with this website.
