Go Deh Girl the main danger
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 6 ½ furlong Overnight Allowance event has attracted only eight starters on the Saturday programme of January 8, 2022, at Caymanas Park.
Listed as the ninth race, this top-rated contest on the day should be decided by the Anthony Nunes trained Go Deh Girl and the Jason DaCosta conditioned Eagle One.
THE QUICK GALLOPER has ruled out of contention Superluminal, Dunrobin, El Profesor, Don Almighty, Stranger Danger, and Inspired Miracle.
Superluminal has seen better days, and now at age 10, plus a lack in current form, make his chance of winning remote, yet he cannot be denied the possibility of winning if his back class comes into play.
Dunrobin’s form has not been the best in recent times, and it would be a major upset if he should win this one.
El Profesor has been bouncing around in this grade for a while now and an uptick in his form can see him at a bare minimum hitting the board.
Don Almighty has taken his time moving through claiming to get to this level. Seems to be a horse with health issues, who has proven difficult to train. As a newbie in this grade, he should be given time to acclimatise himself in Overnight.
Stranger Danger seems to be going nowhere since his injury when he was three years old. No improvement is expected at this stage.
Inspired Miracle comes to the class for the first and is essentially a good claiming horse.
Go Deh Girl might prove to be the speed in the race. She can either lead or be close to the leaders before making her move to win this contest. She comes off a break of 20 days having been declared a late non-starter on December 27, 2021. Go Deh Girl is a consistent foreigner who will be a deciding factor in this race.
Eagle One, another foreigner who is in good nick at present. Raced on December 27, 2021, finishing second behind known speedster Patriarch travelling down the five straight chute. Tomorrow’s trip of 6 ½ furlongs is well within his grasp, giving Eagle One his best opportunity of winning in a while.
