KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was easy for jockey Dane Nelson and the always talented Patriarch coming down the five straight course in an Open Allowance contest for three-year-old and upwards, which was the seventh of 11 races on today’s (Sat Feb 8, 2020) card at Caymanas Park.
Patriarch trained for this run by Fitzgerald Richards, exited the number three draw on top and with Nelson keeping him straight, the victory came as easy as can be for the connections.
Second, 1 ¾ lengths behind Patriarch was 13-1 outsider Ras Emanuel (Abigail Able – 13-1) with third going to another Richards trainee God of Love (Oneil Mullings – 7-2).
Patriarch was winning his third consecutive five straight while it was the second winner on the day for Nelson.
Interestingly, Patriarch was claimed from his last race for $1,000,000.
