Disciplinary Actions Taken By JRC Stewards

The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Unit 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026.

Jockey TEVIN FOSTER:  

  • who rode PRINCESS FIANIE in the fourth (4th) race on Saturday, July 11, 2026 was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.
  • who rode VICTORIOUS LINKS in the ninth (9th) race on Saturday, July 11, 2026 was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to CHARMING CHATERBOX which force PIPA to drift left approaching the 300-metre 
  • who rode MISS MONEYPENNY in the tenth (10th) race on Saturday, July 11, 2026 was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.

Jockey ROBERT HALLEDEEN who rode TORONADO STEEL in the third (3rd) race on Saturday, July 11, 2026 was fined Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.

Trainer IAN ALEXANDER was summoned for his failure to protect and guard his horse ANTS ATTACK from sustaining injuries in its stall, which later resulted in its death. After hearing his submission, Trainer Ian Alexander was cautioned.

Groom OMAR SWABY was summoned for his failure to protect and guard his horse ANTS ATTACK from sustaining injuries in its stall, which later resulted in its death. After hearing his submission, Groom Omar Swaby was cautioned.
