KINGSTON, Jamaica - Digital One has made a significant comeback after a period of health-related challenges, by showcasing her potential with her third consecutive victory and second win of 2025.
On Saturday, March 29, 2025, the four-year-old bay filly, bred in the United States by Uncle Lino out of Legal Redemption, claimed victory in the 5-furlong Gregory Park Sprint. Trained by Gary Subratie and ridden by Raddesh Roman, Digital One surprised fans and her trainer by charging to the lead as soon as the gates opened.
Despite the intense competition from seasoned sprinters Pack Plays (Shane Richardson) and Wall Street Trader (Tyrese Anderson), Digital One maintained her speed throughout the race, finishing with a time of 1:00.1 seconds, crossing the line ahead of Wall Street Trader in second place and Pack Plays, the 1-2 favourite, in third, with margins of ¾ of a length and 1 ½ lengths respectively.
"First and foremost, Digital One came out of Saturday’s race in excellent condition. She is undoubtedly a highly talented filly with still room for improvement and versatility over different distances," Subratie stated in a post-race interview with Quickgallopja.com.
"While she has faced health issues in the past, we've managed to address most of them, allowing her to perform at her best now. If Digital One remains healthy, we believe she has the potential for significant achievements, and achieve much more, and we are dedicated to ensuring her continued well-being."
