KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dick Cardenas was in fly mode in the Caymanas Saturday tenth as he brought Curlin’s Flight to victory – which was his fifth on the day.

Curlin’s Flight’s success was forged in a three-year-old maiden condition call going 4 ½ furlongs.

Riding for trainer Patrick Lynch, Cardenas guided Curlin’s Flight to the outside rails as Rocket Lily (Omar Walker) in the middle of the track went about the business of leading.

In the final furlong, Cardenas brought Curlin’s Flight closer to Rocket Lily and after a brief encounter, Curlin’s Flight went on to win by 1 ½ lengths. Rocket Lily was second and Cruella (Youville Pinnock) third.
