Past-winning jockeys – Two riders bring winning memories to this year’s line-up. Omar Walker, victorious in 2015 and 2016 aboard Seeking My Dream, and again in 2019 on She’s A Maneater, returns with proven big-race credentials. Robert Halledeen, who steered Will In Charge to glory in 2018, also seeks another Diamond Mile triumph. Walker rides #12 Nautical Star, and Halledeen #5 Funcaandun.
Trainer records – None of the conditioners represented this year have previously won the Diamond Mile.
Locally bred contenders – Two horses carry the local banner: Blue Vinyl, a true Jamaican-bred, and Neo Star, classified as local due to his importation in utero.
