KINGSTON, Jamaica – Devine Lexie, after a wait of well over a year found the winning post in front at the five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) level in the Caymanas Park Monday (June 28) first.

Trained by champion Anthony Nunes with Dane Nelson in the saddle, Devine Lexie was kept in fourth behind the early pace setters Dare To Speak and Moon with Cruzinn Jed (Samantha Fletcher) in the third slot.

With three furlongs left in the 6 ½ furlongs contest, Fletcher pushed through Cruizinn Jed who took the horses into the lane with a two-length advantage.

Nelson then brought Devine Lexie on the outside and although the five-year-old bay mare took her time to get going, she went by a tiring Cruizinn Jed to score by 1 1/14 lengths.

Fighting Valbee (Aaron Chatrie) ran on for second with Cruizinn Jed holding for third.
