KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dane Nelson produced another of his top notch rides bringing Unforgettable with a scorching run to win the fifth race on the day a short while ago at Caymanas Park.
Racing in a claiming event ($250,000 - $200,000) for five and six year-olds, Nelson was way behind the early leaders, Paintthistownred (Raddesh Roman) and Cruising Motion (Phillip Parchment) for most of the race. He then brought the eight-year-old chestnut gelding trained by Anthony Nunes wide in the straight with a scorching run to earn victory in the 5 ½ furlongs event by 1 /14 lengths.
Second went to Cruising Motion at odds of 8-1 with the 2-1 chance Hologram Shadow third.
Unbreakable who won at odds of 1-1 recorded a time of 1:08.2 for the distance.
