KINGSTON, Jamaica – Bruce Wayne recorded his ninth victory from 64 career starts when he gobbled up rivals to win the Caymanas Saturday fifth – a three-year-old and upwards claimer ($450,000 - $400,000) going six furlongs.

Trained by Gresford Smith (third win this year) with Aaron Chatrie in the saddle, Bruce Wayne raced in about fifth/sixth place as at first Storm Princess (Anthony Thomas) set the early splits.

Storm Princess after two furlongs was challenged by Stanislaus (Robert Halledeen), with the latter combination gaining the advantage with Buckaluck (Chris Mamdeen) close by.

In the stretch drive, Buckaluck took over and seemed set to score but Chatrie brought Bruce Wayne on the wide outside with a piercing run to get up in time. Buckaluck was second and Diligent third.
