KINGSTON, Jamaica – Winner of the 1000 Guineas and Jamaica Oaks in 2021, She’s A Wonder died sometime this morning (Sunday, Oct 23, 2022).
Confirmation of the death of this outstanding four-year-old bay filly by Bern Identity out of Jamaican Dream came from her trainer Ian Parsard.
“As you know, She’s A Wonder raced yesterday (Sat, Oct 22, 2022) in the Gold Cup. She came back to the stables in good order and then passed away sometime after 11:00 pm.
“It was an absolute joy training this filly, and her race track accomplishments were outstanding. We have lost a potentially outstanding broodmare,” Parsard said.
She’s A Wonder raced 21 times in her career, winning eight times with overall earnings of just over $11 million. Her last win came on July 30, 2022, at the Overnight Allowance level.
