KINGSTON, Jamaica – Chennai Express partnered by jockey Dane Nelson and trained by Howard Jaghai got today’s (August 22) 11-race card at Caymanas Park underway with a facile victory.
Going a distance of 6 ½ furlongs in a maiden condition event for three-year-olds, Chennai Express was with the early pacers but after two furlongs Nelson on the inside rails put his mount in front and from there it was done and dusted for the other 10 runners.
Racing at restrictive odds of 1-5, Chennai Express clocked 1:21.0 for the distance.
