Race Four – Saturday, October 11, 2025 The Reggae 6 Anniversary Trophy
Six Furlongs | Three-Year-Old Non-Winners of Two | Maiden Foreigners
Eight three-year-olds line up for this commemorative sprint, a mix of local hopefuls and a foreign still seeking their breakthrough.
The Quick Galloper offers a detailed look at each contender’s credentials.
NUMBER ONE – CANDI GIRL
After breaking her maiden on September 20, Candi Girl was swiftly tested in non-two company but faded to eleventh. Despite the four-kilogramme apprentice claim, her form suggests she’s not ready to challenge at this level.
NUMBER TWO – I’M OUTSTANDING
A narrow second to Prince Roy over seven furlongs last time, I’m Outstanding brings solid credentials. With five prior runs in non-two, he’s seasoned and sharp. The cutback to six furlongs enhances his front-running prospects. A leading contender.
NUMBER THREE – SHE’S MY DREAM
Scored her maiden win on September 20 but failed to fire in her first non-two attempt. The removal of the visor signals a tactical shift, yet her recent form offers little encouragement. Needs more time.
NUMBER FOUR – T SWIZZLE
This foreign filly has yet to win locally but showed promise with two runner-up finishes over sprint distances. Recently transferred to new connections, she was withdrawn from a September 28 engagement. Known for early speed, T Swizzle could influence the pace and remains a factor.
NUMBER FIVE – LEGAL FLIGHT
Graduated from the maiden ranks on August 1 but has since struggled in four non-two attempts. Her performances have lacked spark, and there’s little to suggest a turnaround is imminent.
NUMBER SIX – D’STORM
Steps into non-two company for the first time. With limited exposure, D’Storm faces a steep learning curve and will need time to acclimate.
NUMBER SEVEN – HAZELNUT
Once highly regarded as a juvenile, Hazelnut returned from injury with two respectable efforts—fifth and fourth—within two weeks. Morning workouts have been encouraging, and the addition of a visor may sharpen her focus. She’s poised to make her presence felt.
NUMBER EIGHT – STAR QUEST
A familiar name in non-two circles, Star Quest continues to struggle for impact. Another outing likely to yield the same result.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT
I’m Outstanding enters in peak condition and benefits from a favourable distance cutback—he’s the one they’ll all have to catch. Hazelnut, with her improving form and visor addition, is the main threat. T Swizzle’s early speed and past placings make her a live rival. The rest will need marked improvement to factor.
