KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fifth event on Saturday, March 11, 2023, is another three-year-old maiden call, this time at a distance of 7 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the eight horses entered this encounter.

– WAYNE’S PRINCESS is a bay filly (May 19) by Northern Giant out of Patara trained by Jason DaCosta with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Slowly finding her way, can hit the board.

– FIRST BORN is a chestnut colt (April 1) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Nuclear Affair trained by Patrick Lynch with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. Was a complete no-show on his debut seven days ago. That trend will continue. Note, First Born race with the blinkers and figure 8 on.

– LIFE IS LIFE is a bay colt (February 18) by Natural Selection out of Little Wasp trained by Jason DaCosta with Oshane Nugent aboard. Still trying to find his way.

– BURNING VALOR is a bay colt (February 16) by Silent Valor out Burning Clearance trained by Carl Anderson with Phillip Parchment aboard. Showed up on his debut finishing fourth going 6 ½ furlongs. With that effort in his hoofs, Burning Valor should strip fitter, making him a live threat in this one.

– HOT STEPPER is a chestnut filly (March 13) by Hedge Fund out of Crème De La trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Coming to come, not ready as yet for that winning step.

– ROARING THUNDER is a grey colt (April 16) by Speith out of Little Thunder trained by Gary Griffiths with Chris Mamdeen aboard. Roaring Thunder is the most experienced of this lot. He finished in front of Burning Valor when they met 17 days, and with the increase in distance, Roaring Thunder is poised for another prime run.

– MR SENATOR is a roan colt (May 01) by Natural Selection out of Khadiliah trained by Anthony Nunes with Linton Steadman aboard. This newcomer has caught the eye in the mornings. He is said to be progressing nicely but he will have to be way better than the rest to win over 7 ½ furlongs on debut.

– BEAUTIFUL MOON is a bayjbjn filly (June 1) by Lion Tamer out of Sheyn Vi Di Levone trained by Gordon Lewis with Andree Powell in the saddle. Will gain experience. Note, Beautiful Moon races with both hood and tongue tie on.
