Buck Call at 29-1 in fifth race

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Racing over a distance of two furlongs, Buck Call in a field of 16 triumphed from the number two draw to create a stunning upset in the day’s fifth race at starting odds of 29-1.

Trained by Raymond Townsend who was winning his second race in 2019, watched as Buck Call with apprentice Roger Hewitt in the saddle went to the lead in this quarter-horse dash but had to pull out all the stops to hold the late burst of Lucky Nine with Jemar Jackson in the saddle. Lucky Nine started at odds of 5-2.

One punter won the Hi-5 for a nice pay-out of $241,433.

Third was Reign Over All at odds of 5-1.
