KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third event of ten on the race card of Saturday, April 19, 2025, is a three-year-old maiden special weight going five furlongs straight. All eight horses entered in this contest are foreign breds.
The Quick Galloper assesses the possible outcomes of this event, done in draw order.
- THOUSAND TREASURES: Dark bay colt (USA February 20) by Thousand Words out of Tabitha, trained by Gary Subratie with Reyan Lewis riding. Has made two starts, finishing behind rivals. Needs improvement to be considered for winning.
- ALMASTY LIST: Brown filly (CANADA May 28) by Almasty out of My List, trained by Gregg Fennell with Omar Walker aboard. Almasty List is among the underperforming Canadian breds. Likely aiming for only an earning position.
- BOWMORE: Bay colt (USA April 10) by Complexity out of Colonel Dettwiller, trained by Phillip Lee with Wesley Henry in the saddle. Recent starts show improvement. Experience from six outings may help find success. Good bet for the exacta.
- RALPHS TREASURE: Bay colt (USA February 24) by Honest Mischief out of Belleza, trained by Gary Subratie with Raddesh Roman riding. Another of the many foreign horses on the local track. The best Ralphs Treasure can hope for is an earning position.
- HAMELATA: Bay filly (CANADA February 27) by Point of Entry out of Conquest Bad Girl, trained by Winchester McIntosh with Rotajmar Weir aboard. Has not indicated potential for winning in previous starts.
- INCREDIBLE JO: Bay colt (USA April 13) by Improbable out of Titanium Jo, trained by Adrian Prince with Shane Ellis assigned as the jockey. Finished third in debut on March 22. Currently considered the pre-race favorite.
- PRINCESS KRIS: Bay filly (USA April 1) by Goldencents out of Sugar Babe, trained by Norman Smith with Richie Shakes in the saddle. Will several equipment changes, may perform better and earn a place on the board.
- SHINE LIKE THE SKY: Bay filly (USA February 27) by Unified out of Diamondette, trained by Norman Smith with Michael Semple riding. Will gain experience.
