KINGSTON, Jamaica - Bold Aflair gave a dismissive run over the five straight course (1000 metres) among Restricted Stakes company to win the Pick-3 Dash Trophy at Caymanas Park on Saturday, November 30.

This win by Bold Aflair was another clear indication of his liking for the distance.

In his last contest on November 19, the USA-bred Bold Aflair was severely hampered when looking to be a certain winner, eventually finishing third behind Rojorn De Pilot and Duke in that order.

The three-year-old dark bay colt  trained by Gary Subratie for owner Michros showed the depth of his appreciation for a weight reduction to enhance his favourable record over the straight course with a good 58.3 clocking, the same time Rojorn De Pilot returned when Bold Aflair was hampered.

“It was a very competitive field but Bold Aflair just loves the straight as every time he tackles the straight he runs a big race.

“He looks to be a specialist over the straight and I do not know what he has in him around the turn, so let us see how he performs around the turns in the future.

“Next on the agenda for Bold Aflair is another five-straight call coming shortly,” Subratie added.
