KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Reyan Lewis continued his purple patch in the saddle by riding another triple, this time on the 13-race card at Caymanas Park a short while ago.
Lewis gave a patient and mature ride on the Everal Francis trained Dad’s Nala in a-9 furlongs and 25 yards contest for three-year-olds and up Optional claimers ($650,000 - $600,000).
The 19-year-old apprentice was not hurried as Seadon set a cracking pace and at one time was some 12 lengths ahead of his 7 rivals.
Seadon packed it in with three furlongs to go and although Nuclear Lava went wide, Lewis was still able to get her home by 2 ½ lengths at odds of 3-5
Second went to Sir Puddington (7-1) and third was Dad’s Nala (14-1).
