Anthony Thomas begins with Mr Lyndhurst in Caymanas Saturday (July 31) first

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Anthony Thomas got off to a winning start when he guided 4-5 favourite Mr Lyndhurst to victory in the Caymanas Saturday first.

Thomas who is the co-champion jockey and present leader brought home Mr Lyndhurst in a three-year-old and upwards claiming ((250,000 - $200,000) contest at 5 ½ furlongs.

The early pace was set by Lady Budget (Jordan Barrett) with Thomas bringing down the odds-on favourite Mr Lyndhurst from the number nine draw to be close behind the leader.

Lady Budget carried the field into the stretch but was quickly overtaken by Mr Lyndhurst who went on to win by 1 ½ lengths.

Powerful Red (Dane Dawkins ran on for second with Lady Budget third.

Of note is that the REGGAE-6 exotic wager sold over $10 million.
