KINGSTON, Jamaica - Andrew Azar, an owner and breeder, has been elected as the new president of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) as of March 30.
He succeeds long-time president Howard Hamilton, who chose not to run for re-election.
The election for TOBA's various positions occurred during the association's annual general meeting at HAM Stables.
Jeffrey Mordecai has been elected as the vice-president of TOBA.

Double A ..andrew azar is the new president,three cheers. i watched the video of the preceedings and he spoke passionately about the love of racing in general,i hope his tenure will bring lots of improvements to a fledging product that has lost its glitz and pagentry to one of prominence and profit to the sport in the near future.
