KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer George Edwards saddled one of his rare winners, Anaso in the third race at Caymanas Park a short while ago.
Anaso also provided jockey Robert Halledeen with his first winning ride for 2019.
Anaso going off at odds of 3-2, won by 3 lengths over Sacrifice (Tevin Foster) and Pure Heart (Christopher Mamdeen) over six furlongs. The winning time was 1:15.3 with splits of 23.3 x 48.2.
The winning connections had to survive a lengthy stewards inquiry.
