KINGSTON, Jamaica – The introduction of the Mouttet Mile (December 3, 2022) carrying a total purse of US$125,000, with approximately J$10 million earmarked for the winning connections, is already generating significant attention among racing interests.
Horses training programmes are being redirected towards the Mouttet Mile with the hope of a big payday.
There are 16 slots to fill in the Mouttet Mile, 12 for horses (local and foreign bred), who are domiciled in Jamaica since January 1, 2022, and four for visiting horses not domiciled in Jamaica.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S first foray into the possible starters is, however, based on horses in Jamaica filling all 16 slots plus a potential waiting list for a total of 25.
The names of the 25 horses in the first Mouttet Mile are listed in no specific order and pre-supposes they are all in good health come December 3.
Readers on QUICKGALLOP.COM are asked to give their comments on the selection of horses made by THE QUICK GALLOPER and to give their list.
