KINGSTON, Jamaica – Racing for the first time under the care of leading trainer Jason DaCosta, Buzz City Light made light work of his 13 rivals to win the Caymanas Sunday (May 22) sixth a short while ago.
Buzz City Light’s victory came in a three-year-old maiden contest coming down the five furlongs straight chute.
Buzz City Light, on his last outing, which was his first, raced prominently but was hindered by Josh, the eventual winner, whose number was taken down by the race day stewards with the race awarded to Degaulle.
Facing Josh again, Buzz City Light (Anthony Thomas) with a clear run dispatched allcomers, as after breaking well, tacked across to middle track before speeding away for the win, running a bit green.
Second was Josh (Bebeto Harvey) and third 62-1 outsider GT Boy.
This was the second winner on the day for Thomas.
