KINGSTON, Jamaica – After an almost five-month break Derby winner Drone Strike who last raced in the Jamaica St Leger in early July returns to competitive racing in what most analysts see as a possible preparation run before next week’s Diamond Mile.

Drone Strike trained by Patrick Lynch is going into a tough assignment against well known sprinters coming down the five-furlong straight course including Patriarch, Mr Universe – second in the Sprint Championship (six furlongs) on November 10 and the old gutsy warrior Campesino.

For certain Drone Strike will not be at his best going so short, hence the notion that his inclusion is but a tester for the big race next week.

Patriarch was not at his best first time out against horses in the top Grade but it is best that that run is shrugged off. The hindrance tomorrow (Nov 24) for Patriarch may well be the number one draw.

Mr Universe showed pluck and determination to finish second in the Sprint behind Chace The Great and now dropping down in class is going be very difficult to beat.

Bimini gave a courageous performance in the Sprint when defeating more touted younger rivals to finish fourth. Bimini has a good chance in this one.

Sarah Lee will be doing her bit in the final part of the race and if the speedsters crack look no further than Sarah Lee.

Campesino after a break did quite well in the Sprint and like Mr Universe is dropping down in class. This proven campaigner, drawn on the outside, has certainly stripped fitter and now has a glorious chance of adding another tick in his win column.
