Any Number Can Play In Maiden Three-Year-Old Call

THREE YEAR OLDS 2026

The eighth of ten races scheduled on the card of Saturday, October 31, 2026 is for three-year-old maidens.

A large field of 13 starters will line up over the seven-furlong trip in an event honouring noted raceday analyst Michael Cain.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis of the field is presented below in draw order.

1 – BLOOD DIAMOND

Bay filly (April 21) by Conquest Cherimash out of Working Carol K

Trainer – Gregg Fennell

Jockey – Garvin Harris

Eleven career starts have yielded little of tangible significance for Blood Diamond. In a weak maiden event where any number of runners might find improvement, she cannot be entirely dismissed from calculations.

2 – PICKLEBALL

Bay filly (March 18) by Casual Trick out of Ackee Pie

Trainer – Richard Azan

Jockey – Tajay Suckoo

Equipment Change – Visor off

From three previous appearances, Pickleball has tackled distances no further than six furlongs so far, she has shown a tendency to flatten out in the closing stages. Stepping up to seven furlongs will present a stern stamina test, though the removal of the visor could help her find a more willing effort.

3 – SENSATIONAL DESTINY

Bay colt (March 17) by Successful Native out of Flying Machine

Trainer – Colin Elcock

Jockey – Raddesh Roman

One of the more reliable contenders in this line-up, having hit the board with a second and a third in his latest outings, albeit well beaten by the respective winners. The booking of the champion jockey significantly enhances his prospects of breaking his maiden tag.

4 – NO CHASER

Chestnut colt (April 12) by Strikewhileitshot out of Naseen

Trainer – Edward Stanberry

Jockey – Natalie Berger

Equipment Change – Figure 8 off

Across six starts to date, No Chaser has offered no evidence to suggest that a trip to the winner's enclosure is imminent.

5 – SAFE JOURNEY

Chestnut colt (April 18) by Sensational Slam out of The Marshal’s Diva Trainer – Welsh Soutar

Jockey – George Samuda

Can be safely excluded from any serious win considerations based on current form.

6 – BRILLIANT BOY

Chestnut colt (April 29) by Bern Identity out of Mete-Orite

Trainer – Jason DaCosta

Jockey – Robert Halledeen

This pedigree-favoured colt has thus far proved disappointing and now makes his debut for a new stable. Still appears to be a work in progress that requires additional time.

7 – TALENTED BOSS GAL

Bay filly (June 11) by Talented Tony K out of Herecomestheboss

Trainer – Fitzgerald Richards

Jockey – Evertte Clunis

Equipment Change – Visor off, tongue tie on

Across seven career starts, Talented Boss Gal has failed to show any flashes of winning ability. Equipment tweaks are called upon to spark a turnaround.

8 – SHE’S BLUE DIAMOND

Chestnut filly (February 6) by Bern Identity out of Nomas

Trainer – Omar Williams

Jockey – Richie Shakes

Handily outclassed in all five of her starts so far. She will need to produce a massive career-best to figure in the finish here.

9 – FOREVER GRATEFUL

Chestnut filly (February 7) by Verve’s Humor out of Sandbath

Trainer – Fitzgerald Richards

Jockey – Nicardo Carr

A third-place finish in one of her six starts gives her a slight form edge over the majority of this modest opposition.

10 – BUTTERFLY GREY

Chestnut filly (March 17) by Verve’s Humor out of Dunkirk’s Evita

Trainer – Fitzgerald Richards

Jockey – Rotajmar Weir

Showed very little to encourage supporters on her racecourse debut just 12 days ago, and no equipment alterations are reported.

11 – BEHAVE

Bay filly (April 28) by Conquest Cherimash out of Bedroom Chatter

Trainer – Barrington Bernard

Jockey – Shaheem Gordon

A model of consistency who has managed to finish inside the top four in virtually all of her 12 starts. Behave is presented with an ideal opportunity here to shed her maiden tag and shake off her bridesmaid reputation.

12 – RIDING WEST

Bay colt (January 18) by Sunshine N Shadow out of Global

Trainer – Paul Swaby

Jockey – Jaheim Anderson

Looks to hold no realistic winning credentials on current form.

13 – GREEN PAINT

Bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Francia’s Pride

Trainer – Saqlain Roman

Jockey – Dane Dawkins

Though she has largely been a source of frustration, Green Paint did turn in an improved runner-up effort 14 days ago, albeit finishing 15 lengths behind the victor. That performance renders her a logical inclusion for exotic wagers.
