On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Don Kwesi delivered what was arguably his finest performance to date in the ninth race, only to be disqualified after a lengthy inquiry by the race day stewards.
Trained by Barrington Bernard and ridden by jockey Jaheim Anderson, the Don Kwesi was stripped of the victory following a post-race inspection.
The official reason delivered over the track’s loudspeaker stated that Anderson had weighed-in over the permitted limit of 0.5 kilograms.
While the exact weight recorded on the scales remains unknown to The Quick Galloper, sources confirm that Anderson was weighed on two separate scales to verify the finding, first in the winner's enclosure and again in the area close to the jockeys' room.
The Quick Galloper shares with readers on this website the specific Rules of Racing pertaining to weighing-in and disqualifications.
