The fourth race on Thursday, August 6, 2026, is a restricted event for three-year-old maidens, staged in honour of past Derby winner Calculus.
Nine runners will face the starter over six furlongs, each seeking that elusive first victory.
The assessment below is presented in post-position order.
1 – D.O.K
Bay colt (May 2) by Spieth out of Regency
Trainer – Anthony Nunes
Jockey – Shane Richardson
Rallied strongly when stretched to 9 ½ furlongs last time, finishing a close second behind Wah A Gwaan. The cutback to six furlongs should suit his running style, and D.O.K appears well placed to deliver another competitive effort.
2 – CODE RED
Chestnut colt (May 4) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Eighteen Karat
Trainer – Anthony Nunes
Jockey – Eric Haughton
A model of consistency across his eight starts, finishing well clear of rivals including My Friend Micki. With steady progression and proven ability, Code Red holds the strongest chance of finally breaking his maiden tag.
3 – BEHAVE
Bay filly (April 28) by Conquest Cherimash out of Bedroom Chatter
Trainer – Barrington Bernard
Jockey – Richie Shakes
Seven outings have yielded little promise, with performances below expectations. Unless she finds dramatic improvement, Behave is unlikely to trouble the principals.
4 – DIVA
Bay filly (February 4) by Buzz Nightmare out of Zensational Trainer – Patrick Lynch
Jockey – Tajay Suckoo
Equipment Change – Blinkers and figure 8 both off
Absent since May 16, Diva returns after an 89-day break. She showed ability before her layoff, finishing just a length behind Nebraska at this trip. Talent is evident, but her readiness post-injury is the question. If fully recovered, Diva could prove the one to beat.
5 – MY FRIEND MICKI
Bay filly (January 21) by Savoy Stomp out of Bubbling Angeline
Trainer – Gary Griffiths
Jockey – Jaheim Anderson
Equipment Change – Cheek pieces off
The veteran of the field with 17 starts. Experience alone makes her a reliable candidate for the minor placings, especially in exotic wagers.
6 – PRINCESS TEANA
Bay filly (February 23) by Savoy Stomp out of Princess Shine
Trainer – Adrian Prince
Jockey – Youville Pinnock
Equipment Change – Visor off
Form and consistency are lacking. Princess Teana is best ruled out of serious contention.
7 – DADDY CUTOUT
Bay colt (March 10) by Hedge Fund out of Rohan’s Cattleya
Trainer – Edward Stanberry
Jockey – Natalie Berger
Equipment Change – Visor on, figure 8 off
Has been well beaten in prior attempts and remains far behind the standard required here.
8 – BRILLIANT BOY
Chestnut colt (April 29) by Bern Identity out of Mete-Orite
Trainer – Anthony Nunes
Jockey – Omar Walker
Equipment Change – Blinkers off
Expectations have outweighed results so far. While a placing is possible, a breakthrough win looks unlikely at this stage.
9 – KING CUSH
Bay colt (March 18) by Wannabeaplayer out of Gold Charm
Trainer – Ricardo Brown
Jockey – Anthony Frazer
Equipment Change – Visor on, tongue tie off
Still learning his craft and developing with each run. King Cush may need more time before emerging as a serious contender.
