Three Jamaican, trainers Rohan Crichton, Colin Maragh and jockey Rajiv Maragh all had winners on the Friday, May 8, 2026, card at Gulfstream Park in Florida with, Rajiv achieving double success.
Trainer Crichton started the local charge when his Das Ist Alles Ally won the second race going a mile and 70 yards with Miguel Angel Velasquez in the saddle.
The post-race report reads as follows: “DAS IST ALLES ALLY was four wide into the first turn and tracked the leaders from the outside and made a four wide bid on the far turn to vie for command four to three wide and shook clear in the four path nearing the furlong marker and then drifted out under left handed crop nearing the sixteenth marker and remained safe to the wire to prove best.”
Jockey Rajiv Maragh started his double in the fifth race winning atop Chance To Party trainer Mary Lightner at five furlongs.
The post-race report reads as follows: “CHANCE TO PARTY duelled for the lead and made a two wide bid to gain a short lead leaving the furlong marker and then held off the late bid from rivals.
Rajiv then combined with his father to win the seventh event on Gimme Some Luck. The distance of that event was 7 ½ furlongs.
The post-race report reads as follows: “GIMME SOME LUCK broke a bit flat, then rushed up and did not corner well into the first turn, then took over to set the pace while clear in the widened the margin down the backside and raced in the two to three path on the far turn and came four wide off the turn and drifted out while still clear by the furlong marker and then drifted out significantly in the final sixteenth but remained clear to prove best while in the fifteen path at the wire.”
