Honour Prince, after enduring a lengthy spell of recuperation, has finally justified the patience, care, and confidence invested in him by connections.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the bay colt reasserted his potential with a 2 ½ length victory, in a three- and four-year-old non-four for locally bred horses and a three- and four-year-old non-three for foreigners. The triumph, achieved over 5 ½ furlongs, was more than a win, it was a statement that his talent, though restricted by injury, is on the rebound. .

Now a four-year-old, Honour Prince is by Bern Identity out of Awesome Lucy, a pedigree that had set him on course for the 2025 three-year-old Classic. That ambition was halted when injuries interrupted his march after his success in the seven-furlong Prince Consort Stakes on April 12, 2025. The setback forced him into a long absence, but his return to competitive racing on March 28, 2026, was a promising reintroduction. In that six-furlong contest, he finished second, 2 ½ lengths behind foreigner The Teacha, closing strongly inside the final furlong. That effort, though not victorious, proved the perfect stepping stone back into the rigours of racing.

Just a month later, on April 25, Honour Prince, guided by jockey Tevin Foster, elevated his career record to four wins from seven starts, amassing earnings of over $3 million. Fosterallowed Honour Prince to settle off the early pace, which was first dictated by The Levitus under Demar Williams, before being overtaken by foreigner Fred The Master with Robert Halledeen aboard. It was Fred The Master who carried the field into the straight for the final two furlongs, but Honour Prince, racing wide on the outside, found his rhythm and unleashed a decisive surge. He powered past Fred The Master with authority, while Fidelity claimed third.

The clock confirmed a winning time of 1:07.2, with fractions of 24.0 and 48.3. This fourth success not only underscored Honour Prince’s resilience and class but also elevated him into the ranks of Overnight Allowance.
