Race three of ten on the Ash Wednesday programme, February 18, 2026, is for three-year-olds and upward who have not yet won four races lifetime.
Seven runners are set to contest five furlongs straight.
The Quick Galloper’s evaluation of the likely outcome is outlined below.
1 – PHENOMENAL POWER (USA)
Trainer – Anthony Nunes
Jockey – Delroy Beharie
Has crushed his opponents so far in two races, winning by a combined 21 ½ lengths. Phenomenal One should secure his third victory and move into Overnight Allowance company. The only slight worry is his draw at one in a straight five, which is not ideal coming down the chute. Yet even that will not stop him.
2 – THOUSAND TREASURES
Trainer – Gary Subratie
Jockey – Dane Dawkins
Ran a solid race last time at 7 ½ furlongs, fading late to stablemate Sensational Soul. Previously successful in claiming company. Meeting Phenomenal One at level weight makes the task even harder.
3 – MISS MONEYPENNY
Trainer – Jason DaCosta
Jockey – Tevin Foster
More than seven lengths behind Phenomenal One when they met on January 3. With only minor handicap adjustments, Miss Moneypenny faces another uphill battle.
4 – WAYNE’SCHERRYLINKS
Trainer – Barrington Bernard
Jockey – Richie Shakes Has been consistent in non-winners of four, but tackling a high-quality import is a stern assignment.
5 – DANKA
Trainer – Richard Azan
Jockey – Tajay Suckoo
Regularly finds the frame in non-four races. Victory will have to wait.
6 – BIG BUZZ
Trainer – Ray Phillips
Jockey – Garvin Harris
Has not tackled the straight in some time. With three wins already, Big Buzz must bide his time for number four.
7 – MISS GROVE (CAN)
Trainer – Anthony Nunes
Jockey – Kerry-Gayl Robinson
Scored last time out but has only raced twice, like her stablemate Phenomenal One. Miss Grove appears to be making up the numbers.
