Apprentice jockey, Jaheim Anderson maintained his recent good form by steering Abreathoffreshair to a decisive win in the third race on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

The Phillip Lee-trained bay gelding, by Perfect Curlin out of City Flight, lined up in the five-year-old and up, non-winners of four lifetime event over five furlongs straight. Racing widest of six rivals, Abreathoffreshair travelled smoothly with the early pace. Trainer Lee’s equipment change—removing blinkers in favour of a visor—proved effective, as the horse settled confidently before Anderson made his move past the dummy rails.

From that point, the outcome was never in doubt. Abreathoffreshair surged clear to score by just over four lengths in a sharp 59.4 seconds, with sectional splits of 23.3, 46.4, and 59.4. Indestructible (Raddesh Roman) chased home for second, while My Sunshine (Paul Francis) filled third.

The victory marked Anderson’s fifth win of the season, following his triple success on January 10. For trainer Lee, it was his first strike of 2026 from three attempts.

Abreathoffreshair now boasts four career wins, elevating him to Overnight Allowance company, with earnings surpassing $3 million.
