Despite a phenomenal year where he was only the second rider in history to surpass US$40 million in single-season purse earnings, he finished narrowly behind Irad Ortiz Jr. in the national standings, with US$40,460,428 to Ortiz’s US$40,497,847.
2025 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Second Consecutive Eclipse Award: Prat was recognized as North America's outstanding jockey for the second year in a row, a testament to his consistent performance.
Graded Stakes Success: He led all riders with 46 graded stakes wins and 13 Grade 1 victories aboard 13 different horses, showcasing his adaptability and skill on the biggest stages.
Breeders' Cup Wins: He secured two wins at the Breeders' Cup World Championships in November, taking the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) with Splendora and the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1) with Nysos.
Record-Setting Day: In November 2025, he set a New York Racing Association (NYRA) record for the most wins on a single card, with seven victories at the Belmont at the Big A meet.
