KINGSTON, Jamaica – The seventh on the Mouttet Mile race day on Saturday, December 6, 2025, is the Chairman’s Plate.

The Chairman’s Plate is for three-year-olds and up horses at the Overnight Allowance level going the two-turns of nine furlongs and 25 yards.

Twelve horses are entered to contest this event, with The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the possible outcome shared below for the benefit of readers.

1 – OIL MACHINE

A four-year-old chestnut colt still adjusting to the Overnight Allowance class. He has made four starts at this level but has not gone two turns in his last eight outings, which makes this assignment tougher. At best, Oil Machine may sneak into a minor placing.

2 – IMMEASURABLE JOY

A seasoned campaigner at this grade with three wins from 14 starts in 2025. While experienced, her recent form has dipped. To win here, Immeasurable Joy must produce the run of her career.

3 – PROVIDENT

This colt has been consistent since stepping into Overnight Allowance. He finishes strongly and is well-suited to the two-turn distance. Provident will benefit from a fast pace, though the question remains whether she has the class to topple these rivals.

4 – NEO STAR

The six-year-old has endured a rough 2025, winning once from 11 starts with two runner-up finishes. Recently faced tough opponents like Mojito, Unspun, and Digital One. On November 23, he returned from a two-month break, led until early in the stretch, then faded to fifth. That effort may sharpen him for a better, but his record over nine furlongs and 25 yards is poor.

5 – RUN JULIE RUN

Connections have again bypassed the Mouttet Mile to defend her Chairman’s Plate crown. A classy locally bred filly, though her 2025 campaign has been modest (10 starts, 2 wins). She showed her quality when finishing third behind Mojito and Girvano. With Javier Castellano aboard, her class should shine through once again.

6 – DIVINE FORCE

Now with a new stable, Divine Force hinted at a revival when finishing third behind Digital One and Supremasi, 5½ lengths back. That effort was encouraging, and with the tongue tie removed, he could deliver another solid performance.

7 – PRETTY PERFECT

One of the better three-year-old fillies, but she will need an extraordinary effort to win against this field.

8 – SHEER DELIGHT

A foreign-bred colt whose 2025 campaign has disappointed—11 starts, just one win. Despite some decent placings, he has yet to show consistent top-level form.

9 – I DREAM AGAIN

The 2025 Derby winner has struggled in three Overnight Allowance attempts. The distance suits him, but he must summon a career-best run to contend.

10 – BLUE VINYL

A six-year-old chestnut whose career has been interrupted by injuries. If he returns fit and healthy, Blue Vinyl has the ability to be a major threat.

11 – UNRULY MO

Another foreigner, winless in three Overnight Allowance starts. Trainer has made equipment change, blinkers on, cheek pieces off. His best chance is to grab a minor placing.

12 – MACK AND ROME

A recent arrival to the Overnight Allowance ranks. Lacks the credentials to feature and can be ruled out of contention.
