Race Four – Saturday, August 30, 2025

Conditions: For four-year-olds and up non-four (locally bred) and non-three (foreigners) Distance: Nine furlongs and 25 yards

Field: Six starters

The fourth event on Saturday’s card brings together a mixed group of seasoned campaigners and developing contenders, all vying for supremacy over two turns.

The analysis of the possible outcome by The Quick Galloper is provided below in draw order.

1 – HIT N RUN - Still adjusting to the non-three level, Hit N Run is best known for her early dash. Her primary role here appears tactical—setting the fractions to soften rivals and pave the way for her stablemate, Brenda Boy.

2 – BRENDA BOY - Narrowly beaten by Captain Sparrow on July 19 over a mile, Brenda Boy now stretches out to a more suitable trip. Freshened and retooled, he looks ready to deliver a maiden win for his new connections.

3 – MACK AND ROME - Reliable but winless in his last ten outings, Mack And Rome often assumes the lead. With Hit N Run likely to contest the pace, jockey Dane Dawkins must manage tempo wisely. Equipment changes: blinkers and tongue tie remain on; figure eight removed.

4 – KING PIYE - A veteran of 22 starts with two wins, King Piye typically runs from off the pace. The extended distance suits his late kick, and this setup offers a genuine chance to notch win number three.

5 – TITAN TEMPO - Outpaced by both Brenda Boy and Mack And Rome on July 19, Titan Tempo faces a tough assignment. Improvement is required, but the form line suggests he's up against it.

6 – HAIL THE QUEEN - Primarily a sprinter, Hail The Queen impressed when stretching to a mile on August 16, leading throughout to win by 3½ lengths. Though new to the non-four level, she meets modest opposition and could double up if rated smartly. Not to be overlooked.

 THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT

Brenda Boy holds the edge with distance, form, and freshness in his favour. Hail The Queen is the wildcard—dangerous if she adapts to the added ground. King Piye looms as the late threat, while Mack And Rome must navigate pace pressure. Expect a tactical affair, with Brenda Boy poised to break through.
