KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Patrick “Wacky” signalled his intent on the Saturday card at The Park when he won the third event with Morning Star to give him a rather quick double having taken the second with Adoring Lady.

With leading rider apprentice Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle, Morning Star went to the front in the nine furlongs and 25 yards offering for maiden three-year-olds and was never challenged throughout the contest in what was a bold front running effort.

Casual Peach (Roger Hewitt), slowly out of the starting gates, came on fast in the last furlong but was never going to catch the winner who was still galloping resolutely. Morning Star won by 1 ¾ lengths.

Desrianna (Prince Holder) was third.

Morning Star won at odds of 1-1 in a final time of 1:59.2.
