KINGSTON, Jamaica – 13-1 chance, Time For A Cola not only won his first race but provided win number two on the day for trainer Wayne DaCosta and apprentice Raddesh Roman as the St Leger card continued at Caymanas Park.
Contesting a Maiden Condition event for three-year-olds, Time For A Cola drawn on the outside went down in search of the lead in the six furlong offering and was able to go in front after three furlongs.
Entering the straight with a clear advantage, Roman did work hard in keeping his mount going to win over Sweet Surprise (second) and Fighting Valbee third.
After a stewards’ inquiry, Sweet Surprise’s number was taken down and placed out of the race for causing the fall of jockey Hakeem Pottinger on number 6, Getstorm.
