IANNAI LINKS DELIVERS
Trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Reyan Lewis, Iannai Links easily won a native-bred four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) and also an imported four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) contest over 7½ furlongs (1,500m).
Iannai Links settled in third place behind Pass The Booze (Christopher Mamdeen) and Khai Alexis (Paul Francis) leaving the intersection at the 7-furlong (1,400m) marker.
Iannai Links maintained his gallop well down the backstretch before going in pursuit of Pass The Booze navigating the half-mile turn. He then gained the ascendency at the top of the lane and went on to win by 8 lengths.
Omron (Dick Cardenas) finished in second place, with Silver Fox (Andre Powell) earning the third slot. After splits of 24.0 x 47.0 x 1:12.1, the final time was recorded at 1:33.4.
TRAINER ROWAN MATHIE SADDLES WINNER #11
Trainer Rowan Mathie notched his 11th winner this season after Toughness made one move to win a native-bred five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) and also an imported five-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) call going 7 furlongs (1,400m).
With Jordan Barrett in the saddle, Toughness jumped to the front at the off and held the lead down the backstretch ahead of Jolly’s Dream (Shane Richardson) and My Time Now, the mount of Jemar Jackson.
Approaching the half-mile (800m), Toughness increased the gallop with My Time Now chasing, along with Jolly’s Dream going into the turn. Although drifting out in deep stretch, Toughness went on to win by 2 lengths at the wire.
Finishing second was Duke of Springs (Mario Chong), while Golden Emperor (Jerome Innis) ended third. The final time for the event was 1:31.1.
PRO JOHNNY OFF THE MARK
After some close finishes, the Gary Crawford-owned and trained Pro Johnny was able to win for the first time in a native-bred four-year-old and upwards maiden contest travelling 6 furlongs (1,200m).
Pro Johnny was unable to go with the early leaders and had to settle in fourth place behind Jungle Cat (Dane Dawkins), ZD Eye (Andre Powell), and Magic Bullet (Christopher Mamdeen). Even with the tempo going up at the half-mile, Pro Johnny was still well behind the pacesetters.
Hugging the inside rails and cutting the turn coming into the drive, Pro Johnny hit top stride, and under the capable hands of Shane Ellis, the bay gelding marched on to score by a length and a half ahead of ZD Eye and Magic Bullet. The final time was 1:17.3.
STANISLAUS IN ONE MOVE
Stanislaus went from gate to wire in a three-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($250,000-$200,000) event going 4 furlongs (800m).
Trained by Gregory Forsyth and ridden by Romario Spencer, Stanislaus shot into the early lead and held it comfortably ahead of Sensational Satin (Shavon Townsend), Mamacita (Javaniel Patterson), Alimony (Anthony Thomas) and Boss Izzy (Oshane Nugent).
Stanislaus continued to lead the way, passing the dummy rails and then powered home to win by a length and three quarters. Papa Albert (Nicholas Hibbert) finished second and Sensational Satin was third in a final time of 48.3.

In the sixth race Ryan Darby claimed Smarty Tradition for owner Raphael Gordon from Phillip Elliott, Steadman Curtis claimed Mamacita for owner Somora Clarke from Errol Subratie, Marlon Anderson claimed Papa Albert for owner Yehert Miller from Henry Harrison Jr, Steven Todd claimed Boss Izzy for owner Delroy Wellington from Tyrone Prince, and Dale Murphy claimed winner Stanislaus for himself from Gregory Forysth. All horses were claimed for $250,000 each.
