KINGSTON, Jamaica – Nine horses, three-year-old and upwards will compete at the Overnight Allowance level tomorrow (Saturday, July 30) going 7 ½ furlongs.
Below is the analysis of each starter done in order of their draw positions.
– EL PROFESOR suddenly came to life seven days ago when finishing a close run on second to Curlin’s Affair at five furlongs round. Tomorrow El Profesor faces tougher opposition and can only hope for a minor share. Note, El Profesor races with the tongue tie-off.
– HELICOPTER has been treading his way in this grade for a while now. His day will come but not tomorrow.
– AWESOME TREASURE was slowly coming to come but her last effort going two turns 14 days ago left much to be desired. Now, Awesome Treasure races over a trip much more to her liking, and a better run is expected. Note, Awesome Treasure races with the visor off.
– T BRADY is new to this grouping and needs more time to assimilate to the surroundings.
– SHE’S A WONDER races for only the second time this year. This outstanding filly `at three was well held on June 28 by her stablemate Jordon Reign’s at 6 ½ furlongs. She’s A Wonder is the speed in this encounter and if allowed to run unperturbed, she will be difficult to pull back. The distance of 7 ½ furlongs is within She’s A Wonder's grasp, making this the best opportunity she has to visit the winners’ enclosure in a while.
– DEJAE’S BOY makes a return to Overnight after trying his luck in the class above. Dejae’s Boy has been well prepared for this one and has looked good in the mornings. He has a realistic chance of winning but will have to make every step count.
– THE GOOD WITCH is slowly finding her bearings on the local track. The Good Witch tries longer than seven furlongs for the first time and should be watched closely for future engagements.
– BIG BIG DADDY is paying his dues.
– IT’S A BOY did outstandingly to reach Overnight Allowance. This is It’s A Boy's first attempt and will need time.
