KINGSTON, Jamaica – A bumper field of 13 has been officially nominated to participate in the 2022 Jamaica St Leger scheduled for next Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Caymanas Park.
The Classic Jamaica St Leger is run over 10 furlongs for three-year-old fillies, colts, and geldings, with the fillies receiving a five-pound (lb) sex allowance. It is the second jewel in the local Triple Crown series of races.
The field of 13 is the 2022 St Leger is led by 1000 Guineas winner Atomica, and 2000 Guineas hero Blue Vinyl. Atomica with regular partner Dane Dawkins breaks from the number five post, while Blue Vinyl with his regular rider Raddesh Roman starts from post-position 12.
