DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS TAKEN BY THE JAMAICA RACING COMMISSION

The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, 8 Winchester Road, Kingston 10, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Jockey YOUVILLE PINNOCK who rode:FAULT LINE in the seventh (7th) race on Sunday, 8th May, 2022, was suspended for two (2) race days and fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to HEAVENLY GLITTER and SIR JOHN leaving the 200-metre point that resulted in the disqualification of FAULT LINE.  The suspension will commence on Sunday, June 19, 2022; and,
DESHA in the seventh (7th) race on Saturday, 21st May, 2022, was suspended for two (2) race days and fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the intimidation and interference caused to SHE’S MY FRIEND in the vicinity of the 200-metre point.  The suspension will commence on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Jockey PHILLIP PARCHMENT who rode SARGE IN CHARGE in the seventh (7th) race on Saturday, 14th May, 2022, had his explanation accepted for the intimidation and interference caused to NORTHERN LADY leaving the 700-metre point.
Jockey ANDRE MARTIN who rode FLIGHT TIME in the seventh (7th) race on Saturday, 14th May, 2022, had his explanation accepted for the intimidation and interference caused to D HEAD CORNERSTONE and SALUD shortly after the start that resulted in the disqualification of FLIGHT TIME.

  1. Jockeys are fined and suspended yet the horses are not disqualified... Kunda Man and Deesha are prime examples and the interference is so obvious... very strange indeed
