KINGSTON, Jamaica – There was heavy trading in the claiming box over the Guineas weekend of June 4-5. There were nine claims on of the race days.
NINE HORSES CLAIMED ON SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2022
In the first race, Norman Smith claimed Diosa De Oro for owner Ashi Mitchell from Ray Phillips; Edward Stanberry claimed Ricky Ricardo for owner Gregory Stewart from Steven Todd; Stanberry also claimed Killer Bee for owner Hugal Douglas from Donovan Plummer, and Winchester McIntosh claimed Uncle Vinnie for owner Alfred Chuck from Dennis Pryce. All horses from the first event went for $550,000 each.
Randolph Scott claimed Poker Star for owner Zelpha Ricketts for $250,000 from Michael McIntosh; Dale Murphy claimed Star Lee for himself for $250,000 from Victor Williams, and Steven Todd claimed Cup A Soup for owner Rosdore, also for $250,000 from Patrick Fong from the fourth race.
In the sixth race, Errol Subratie claimed Mirabilis for owner Vincent Henry for $1 million from Delroy Waugh, and Dennis Pryce claimed Danny Spud for owner Busy Racing Stable also for $1 million from Vincent Atkinson.

In the second event trainer Dennis Thwaites claimed horse #2 Cartel for owner Carlton Watson; trainer Dennis Thwaites claimed horse #3 Special Counsel for owner Sydney Roman, and trainer Dennis Pryce claimed horse #7 Casual Affair for owner Busy Racing Stable
In the third race trainer Henry Harrison (Jr) claimed horse #3 Jamaican Storm for himself; trainer Ian Roberts claimed horse #4 Lady Budget for himself, and trainer Stedman Curtis claimed horse #5 Flying Bullet for owner Eric Henry
