KINGSTON, Jamaica – Division Two of a three-year-old maiden contest going 5 ½ furlongs is assessed below in post-position order.
Zion’s Princess is a bay filly (April 25) by Midnight Hawk out of Lookatmenow trained by Michael Beecham with Ruja Lahoe in the saddle. Failed to complete her last engagement and is not expected to be a factor.
Lady Joyce is a roan filly (March 20) by Midnight Hawk out of Winningitis trained Dennis Thwaites with Oshane Nugent in the saddle. Lady Joyce will not be a threat to the principals. Note, Lady Joyce races with the figure 8 off.
The Pulse is a bay filly (March 20) by Casual Trick out of Heart Beat trained by Kibbeisha Little with Dane Dawkins in the saddle. Was prominent in her last race but faded badly in the straight.
Alexa’s Secret is a chestnut filly (February 26) by Sensational Slam out of Alexa’s Song trained by Robert Pearson with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. Did well to finish fifth – 6 ½ lengths behind winner Unruly Dude. That was Alexa’s Secret first time at the races and with normal improvement expected, this filly is on the brink of opening her winning account.
Dujour is a dark bay filly (March 21) by Force De Jour out of First Kiss trained by Roy Matthews with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. Dujour was scratched from her last race on May 7 but has since been active at exercise. Dujour has been gradually coming into her own and with champion Anthony Thomas staying on board, she is a live proposition to put the first tick in the win column.
Nikita B is a bay filly (March 19) by Deputy Glitters out of Osada trained by Phillip Lee with Chris Mamdeen in the saddle. Needs more time. Note, Nikita B races with the blinkers and figure 8 on.
Fearless Fire is a chestnut filly (April 15) by Fearless Vision out of Morebulletstofire trained by Dale Murphy with Dick Cardenas in the saddle. Showed a glimpse of form in her debut run just 12 days ago, and on Saturday with first time Lasix administered along with the putting on of the tongue tie, the chances of Fearless Fire are significantly increased.
Just Move In is a bay filly (March 15) by Liquidity out of The Girl Next Door trained Ray Phillips with Matthew Bennett in the saddle. Winning is not on her agenda. Note, Just Move In races with the tongue tie on.
Traditional Lady is a bay filly (April 19) by Traditional out of Always In The Mood trained by Patrick Lynch with Raddesh Roman in the saddle. Did not do well on debut 13 days ago but has picked up some steam at exercise. Traditional Lady will again learn from the experience. Note, Traditional Lady races with first-time Lasix.
Minidewak is a bay filly (February 221) by Lion Tamer out of Aura Mas trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Minidewak comes up against moderate opposition with this event providing the best opportunity for a victory.
