KINGSTON, Jamaica - The eighth race on tomorrow’s (April 30) race card is set to provide an exciting contest featuring eight horses at a mile. This event is for four-year-olds non-winners of four (local bred) and non-winners of three (foreigners). The analysis below is done in draw order.
CLASSICAL ORB is a four-year-old bay gelding (USA) by Orb out of Tiz A Masterpiece trained by Ian Parsard with Oneil Mullings in the saddle. Classical Orb comes off a break of 56 days and does so with a win in his last encounter at the same distance of a mile. This is Classical Orb’s first try in this class but this consideration is by no means a deterrent as he has the requisite class to deal with his seven rivals. Classical Orb is the likely favourite but his task of winning will not be an easy one.
TRUE AL SKY is a four-year-old bay filly by American Dance out of Go Flint Go trained by Al Brown with Dick Cardenas in the saddle. True Al Sky has been consistent but has faced tough opposition in his last two races. The distance of a mile in tomorrow’s contest is to her liking but getting the better of some talented colts and geldings, can pose difficulties.
PRINCE MARSHALL is a four-year-old chestnut gelding by War Marshall out of Princess Shine trained by Fitzroy Glispie with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Prince Marshall won when last at the races on April 3, but now he faces fiercer opposition and will be hard-pressed to find the winning post in front.
RING CHARMER is an imported in utero four-year-old bay filly by Where’s The Ring out of Charming Beauty trained by Patrick Lynch with Javaniel Patterson in the saddle. This filly will learn from the experience.
T BRADY is a four-year-old bay colt by Silent Valor out of Burning Clearance trained by Gary Subratie with Paul Francis in the saddle. T Brady has been racing in this grouping for a while now and having paid his dues is set for another favourable effort, if not a winning one. T Brady finished second by a head in his last race at six furlongs and will enjoy the extra two furlongs on offer tomorrow. This T Brady has every chance of winning and should not be left out, especially in the exotic wagers.
UNRULY BOSS is a four-year-old chestnut colt by Bern Identity out of Force Factor trained by Dennis Pryce with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. Unruly Boss races for the first time this season and does so in good nick having been seen regularly at exercise. Might need the run to be fully effective plus he has raced behind the likes of Bern Notice and Santorini several times before.
BERN NOTICE is a four-year-old chestnut colt by Bern Identity out of Blufield trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Did not live up to expectations on March 19, but enters this event with a pull in the weights and will be fully effective going a mile.
SANTORINI is a four-year-old chestnut gelding by Soul Warrior out of Milestone trained by Anthony Nunes with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. Santorini was tardy out of his starting stall on March 19, eventually finished third behind winner Action Ann and T Brady. Returns refreshed, will benefit at the distance, and will be there to fight out this one.
