KINGSTON, Jamaica – The three-year-olds are the beneficiary of three separate races of 10 on the Saturday programme of April 23.
The seventh race on the day is for the non-winners of two category, at six furlongs, which sees the return of Blue Vinyl.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S goes through the nine starters entered in this contest in draw order.
Nomoredeals is a three-year-old chestnut colt (April 18) by Soul Warrior out of Thornhill Miss trained by Gresford Smith with Aaron Chatrie in the saddle. Nomoredeals has raced on seven occasions and has been consistent  throughout. Nomoredeals (Aaron Chatrie) last faced the starter 14 days ago, finishing fourth behind winner Madelyn’s Sunshine. The distance of six furlongs is right within the range of Noremoredeals, who should hit the board. Nomoredeals races on Saturday with the blinkers off and the visor on.
Blue Vinyl is a three-year-old chestnut colt (March 18) by Bern Identity out of Blufield trained by Patrick Lynch with Dick Cardenas in the saddle. Blue Vinyl produced an eye-catching effort to finish second by a head to Emperorofthecats in the Prince Consort Stakes (7 furlongs). In the Prince Consort, Blue Vinyl was slowly out of his starting box but came charging with vigour in the stretch. That effort gave a clear indication, that he will get even better travelling longer distances. This Lynch trainee is progressing rapidly towards the Classics with this non-two a significant part of his preparation. To win, Blue Vinyl must get a good start with another possible hindrance being the distance. Blue Vinyl races with the blinkers on.
Luksol is a US-bred three-year-old bay filly (March 2) by Tapiture out of Stunning Taste trained by Jason DaCosta with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. Luksol always finds one better as evidenced by her finishing second in four of her six starts. Now she gets the perfect opportunity, plus the right distance, to finally get into the winners’ circle. Luksol races with both the blinkers and figure 8 on.
Fly Messenger Fly is a three-year-old chestnut filly (April 27) by Northern Giant out of Preach Preacher trained by Jason DaCosta with Abigail Able in the saddle. The only positive one can write about Fly Messenger Fly is that after 15 starts, she is the most experienced of the lot entered.
Shadowfax is a three-year-old bay colt (May 5) by Legal Process out of Aretha trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. After a gallant effort in the Sir Howard Stakes (six furlongs) on March 13, Shadowfax did not come to the party in the seven-furlong Prince Consort Stakes. This colt although winning his lone race going seven furlongs seems better placed going shorter. Look out for a better run from Shadowfax.
Wowza is a US-bred dark bay colt (March 5) by Jack Milton out of Springtime Rain trained by Anthony Nunes with Shane Ellis in the saddle. This foreigner has done nothing of significance to gain any consideration.
A Gift From Ben is a three-year-old chestnut filly (April 29) by Here Comes Ben out of Sage’s Giftbox trained by Rowan Mathie with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. Broke her maiden on February 20, and since then had to face the likes of Prncsshootingstar and Atomica. On Saturday, A Gift From Ben races in more acceptable company but will have to put every hoof right to win.
Pip is a three-year-old bay colt (March 27) by Perfect Curlin out of Noon It Is trained by Anthony Nunes with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. Pip has not raced in 98 days and tries non-two for the first time. This colt will need time. Pip races with the tongue tie off and the figure eight on.
Lacrimae is a three-year-old grey filly (March 10) by Savoy Stomp out Pleasant Ending trained by Philip Feanny with Youville Pinnock in the saddle. Lacrimae was successful in her last outing at 5 ½ furlongs and will need to get acclimatised to this grouping.
