Robert Halledeen wins own race on Big Bang, completes double for himself, Nunes

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Robert Halledeen achieved a very rare feat a short while when he won Saturday’s seventh race on first timer Big Bang trained by Anthony Nunes.
Halledeen was in fact winning the race which was named after him on the celebration of Jockeys’ Day at the Park.
Big Bang was Halledeen’s second winner and also the second for Nunes. The two had earlier partnered to win with Envisaged.
The winning time was a noticeable 1:26.3 for the seven furlongs of the Maiden Condition event for three-year-olds.
Second went to leader for most of the way, Bloodsweatandtears (Dane Nelson) with third going to Ronan’s Choice.
Big Bang won by seven lengths.
