Thomas like on his first winner on the day, Court Call had to endure a sustained effort from an opponent, this time from Major Force with Daniel Satchell in the saddle.
Eventually, Thomas prevailed on the Ralph Roberts conditioned Luana in an Optional Claimer - $350,000 - $300,000 event run over seven furlongs. Second went to the pesky Major Force with Top Eagle third.
Thomas with his two winners moved his tally for the year to 13.
The winning time for seven furlongs was 1:30.1.
