KINGSTON, Jamaica – The first of ten races on today’s card at Caymanas Park got off to a dazzling start as Run Dazzle, the mount of Trevor Simpson surprised all by winning at long odds of 39-1.
Run Dazzle trained by Carl Anderson picked up the lead going around the bend in the 6 ½ furlongs Restricted Allowance (5-y-o and up non-winners of two) event and easily held the late burst of Instagram under a bustling Simpson to win by two lengths in a final time of 1:23.1.Third way behind was Twilight Storm.
As to be expected winning at such long odds, the pay-outs were heavy as Instagram went off at starting odds of 6-1. (See dividends below).
The 1-2 odds on favourite Dallas did not hit the board.
