KINGSTON, Jamaica – A scorching burst by Press Conference (Andre Powell) in the last half-a-furlong brought victory in the Caymanas Saturday night cap.
Owned, trained, and bred by Carl Anderson, Press Conference was successful in a three-year-old maiden special weight call travelling five furlongs round.
It was Dane Nelson who sent his mount Diamond In the Sky to the lead tracked by Rocket Lily (Omar Walker) and Press Conference.
Diamond In The Sky carried the field into the straight and was challenged early by Rocket Lily with Powell and Press Conference on the inside rails still behind.
Rocket Lily took over and went for home only to be pounced upon in the final stages by Press Conference. Diamond In The Sky finished third.
