Adwa at 3-5 on obliges in Caymanas Saturday second

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Adwa registered her second win from 25 starts when the five-year-old chestnut mare racing at odds of 3-5 won the Caymanas Saturday second.

Trained by Roy Matthews and ridden by apprentice Jordan Barrett, Adwa’s second win was attained in a five-year-old and upwards non-winners of two contest travelling 5 ½ furlongs.

Barrett got Adwa drawn on the outside to move quickly into the lead after the horses settled.

For then there was no doubt as to the winner of this race as Adwa pulled away from rivals in the stretch drive, winning by two lengths.

Second, went to Devine Lexie (Dane Nelson) with the third slot occupied by Matriarch.
